Full Topology Map


The Full Topology Map automatically discovers and draws the invocation and ownership relationships among entities such as cloud resources, services, and databases in the workspace, generating a real-time, interactive full architecture view, helping you quickly understand the overall system architecture, sort out resource dependency chains, and locate the impact scope of faults.

Access Method

Go to Unified Catalog > Full Topology Map, the system displays all entities and their relationships in the current workspace by default.

Canvas Display

The canvas graphically presents entity nodes and their relationships:

  • Entity Node: Displays various entities (systems, services, hosts, databases, cloud resources, etc.) in the form of icons, automatically adjusting the name display according to the canvas zoom

  • Relationship Lines:

    • Solid Arrow: Indicates invocation relationship, the arrow points to the callee
    • Dashed Box: Indicates containment relationship, showing the subordinate ownership of resources

When the number of entities is large, the system automatically filters some projects or types for display.

Automatic Convergence Mechanism

When the number of entities exceeds 1,000, the system displays only part of the content by default to ensure smooth page operation. The display rules are as follows:

  • Filter by Project First: The system tries to display entities under multiple projects, covering as many projects as possible, but the total number of entities in a single view does not exceed 1,000;
  • Filter by Type: If the number of entities in a single project exceeds 1,000, it changes to display in batches by entity type, giving priority to core resources such as systems, hosts, and services.

At this time, the page will prompt "Some results have been filtered by default", you can view the details of entities not displayed by adjusting the top filter conditions (such as specifying a specific project, system, or type).

Filtering

Supports filtering entities by multiple dimensions, displaying only entities that meet the conditions.

By default, common filter dimensions such as project, cloud account, region, system name, and tags are provided. Click More on the right side of the filter bar to add other dimensions such as cloud service provider, entity type, and environment.

Filter configurations are automatically saved for you, and the last settings are automatically restored the next time you visit.

Display Entity Type

Click the "Display Entity Type" button in the upper right corner of the canvas to expand the entity type filter panel, supporting quick filtering of the topology map display content by types such as system, service, host, database, and cloud resource.

It is in union relationship with the filter conditions on the left, making it convenient for you to overlay filter conditions and focus on the asset types of interest.

The type filter state is automatically saved with the current view configuration.

Group Display

Supports logical grouping of entities by multiple dimensions, the architecture diagram is automatically arranged in partitions according to the selected grouping, clearly displaying resource distribution and organizational structure.

By default, grouping is based on Project and Cloud Account.

Grouping Hierarchy:

  1. The grouping order determines the nesting level: the first group is the outermost area, the second group is nested inside the first, and so on, supporting up to 5 levels of nesting.
  2. Group areas at different levels use different colored borders to distinguish them.
  3. Click the collapse button on the title bar of the group area to collapse the group area. After collapsing, the group name and entity count are displayed. Click to re-expand.

Group configurations are automatically saved and restored the next time you visit.

Search and Locate

Quickly find entities by searching, matching entities are highlighted in the diagram and automatically located to the target area.

Save View

For the entity topology you focus on, you can save the current filter conditions and group settings as a custom view for quick backtracking and team sharing.

  • Click the Save View button on the right side of the toolbar at the top of the canvas, enter the view name to save the current configuration;
  • Click View List to slide out the list of saved views, supporting viewing, applying, editing, or deleting saved views.
