How can Alibaba Cloud users activate TrueWatch?¶

Alibaba Cloud users can register for TrueWatch by selecting the "China Region 1 (Hangzhou)" site. Alternatively, you can also activate TrueWatch by purchasing the TrueWatch product on the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace.

If you want to use Alibaba Cloud SLS Log Service to store data in TrueWatch, you can activate TrueWatch by purchasing the TrueWatch Exclusive Plan product on the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace.

How can AWS users activate TrueWatch?¶

AWS users can register for TrueWatch by selecting the "China Region 2 (Ningxia)" or "International Region 1 (Oregon)" site. After registration, you can settle payments using your AWS China account.

How can Huawei Cloud users activate TrueWatch?¶

Huawei Cloud users can register for TrueWatch by selecting the "China Region 4 (Guangzhou)" site. After registration, you can settle payments using your Huawei Cloud account.

What should I do if the activation process for TrueWatch is interrupted?¶

If you have already registered a TrueWatch account but have not yet created a workspace, you can log in with your registered account. After logging in, you will see the following page. You can choose the appropriate method to create a workspace according to your needs.

What is the difference between the TrueWatch Commercial Plan and the TrueWatch Exclusive Plan? Can they be switched between?¶

They cannot be switched between. The TrueWatch Commercial Plan uses the default ES storage method, while the TrueWatch Exclusive Plan uses the SLS storage method.

Note: Activating SLS storage is only supported by purchasing the TrueWatch Exclusive Plan on the Alibaba Cloud Marketplace. Existing TrueWatch workspaces with default storage cannot be switched to SLS storage.

Why is a workspace locked?¶

If the Billing Center account is in arrears, or an Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Huawei Cloud, or another cloud marketplace subscription used for billing is released, expires, or is deleted, the associated workspace enters a locked state. TrueWatch sends an email notification when this occurs.

How to restore a locked workspace?¶

During the 14-day lock countdown, new data cannot be written to the workspace, but historical data remains available for viewing and analysis. Click Unlock Now on the lock notification and follow the instructions to restore billing.

After 14 days, the workspace becomes fully locked and can no longer be accessed or manually unlocked. Contact your account manager for assistance.
