How is TrueWatch billed?¶

TrueWatch supports on-demand and pay-as-you-go billing, providing an out-of-the-box cloud platform for global observability.

What is the difference between TrueWatch Billing Center account settlement and cloud account settlement?¶

• TrueWatch Billing Center account settlement: Recharge and settle directly in the TrueWatch Billing Center. You can top up your TrueWatch Billing Center account through cash recharge, Voucher purchase, or Prepaid Card purchase;
• Cloud account settlement: Recharge and settle directly through the corresponding cloud provider account.

What is any-account settlement?¶

Any-account settlement means that when you change the settlement method in the TrueWatch Billing Center, you can select any cloud account for settlement regardless of the site where you registered. For example, accounts registered on the "China 1 (Hangzhou)" site have Alibaba Cloud account settlement enabled by default, but if any-account settlement is enabled, you can choose "AWS account settlement".

To enable this, contact your Account Manager.

How do I change the settlement method?¶

In the TrueWatch Billing Center, go to Workspace Management and select Change Settlement Method.

How do I recharge?¶

• If you settle with a TrueWatch Billing Center account, you can top up your TrueWatch Billing Center account through cash recharge, Voucher purchase, or Prepaid Card purchase;
• If you settle with a cloud account, you can recharge directly in the cloud account.

How do I view Billing Details?¶

The TrueWatch Billing Center provides bill management, including monthly bills, consumption details, income and expense details, Voucher details, and Prepaid Card details.

How do I grant payment and billing permissions only to enterprise finance personnel?¶

This is linked to the Member Management feature in the TrueWatch Workspace.

Go to Manage > Member Management > Role Management > Add Role, name the role Finance, and select the Plans & Billing permission:

When inviting the target member, select this member role to assign to them upon joining:

If the target member is already in the current workspace, you can edit the role directly in Manage > Member Management.
