Using Agent in the Workspace

After opening the AI drawer in the Workspace, you can directly select an Agent, describe the task, and view execution progress and results. There is no need to switch to the Agent Workbench first; this is suitable for handing the current issue to an Agent with the corresponding responsibilities for continued handling while viewing alerts, logs, traces, or dashboards.

This entry point uses the Agents that you are permitted to use in the current Workspace. Whether it is available depends on site deployment, plan, and Agent status. Before first use, have an administrator complete Agent creation and installation. If the current drawer does not yet show the task entry, you can start a task from the Agent Workbench.

Starting a Task

  1. Click the TOBY AI icon in the top navigation bar of the platform to open the right-side drawer.
  2. In the Agent area, select an online Agent that you are permitted to use.
  3. Enter the task objective, and be as clear as possible about the analysis subject, time range, expected results, and operational constraints.
  4. Check whether the current page context is attached, and confirm that the source and analysis scope meet your requirements.
  5. Click Send, wait for confirmation that the task has been created, and then view its progress.

For example, on the trace details page of the order service, you can ask:

Analyze the current error trace, combine the related logs from the last 30 minutes, and explain the most likely failing node, the impact scope, and the next troubleshooting recommendations. Only query and analyze for now; do not make any configuration changes.

The task objective can contain up to 1,000 characters. If the submission result has not been confirmed, verify it according to the on-page prompts and do not create a duplicate copy of the same task.

Attaching Page Context

On supported pages, you can choose to attach context such as the current object, time range, and query conditions to the task, reducing repeated description. A snapshot of the context at the time of submission is saved; switching pages or adjusting the time range later will not automatically change the analysis scope of the submitted task.

Check the context summary before sending. If you do not want to use the current page information, turn off the attach-context toggle and specify the scope yourself in the task objective. If the page does not provide enough information, add the necessary conditions; if you are prompted that the Agent does not support the current context, upgrade the Agent or submit with the attachment turned off.

Attaching context does not expand the data permissions of members or the Agent, nor does it mean that the Agent has already obtained all related data.

Viewing Progress and Asking Follow-up Questions

In My Tasks in the drawer, you can view recent tasks, expand the task list, and filter by status. After opening the task details, you can view the latest progress, pending items, failure reasons, or final results, as well as the task context from the time of submission.

When you need to view the full process, handle approvals, or ask follow-up questions, click Open Task Session to enter the original session of the task in the Agent Workbench. Opening the session does not create a new task; for example, you can continue to ask, based on the existing conclusion, to "supplement log evidence supporting this judgment." Completed tasks remain read-only according to the rules in My Tasks.

Setting Up Frequently Used Agents

Click the settings icon in the Agent area to select and adjust the Agents you want to display, keeping up to 6. Only online Agents that you are permitted to use can be selected as new choices. When a configured Agent goes offline, its card is retained and marked as offline; once it is back online, you can start tasks again.

If you cannot find the target Agent, check the current Workspace, member permissions, and Agent status, or contact the administrator to confirm whether your plan and deployment support this entry point.
