How is the traffic generated in the workspace settled?¶

When calling various services within the workspace, corresponding traffic data is generated. The settlement of this part involves two processes:

Measure the scale of data generated by the workspace.
Generate bill details based on actual traffic.

The traffic data is generated in the workspace and stored separately in the workspace, and then synchronized to the Billing Center to generate the bill.

Therefore: The two processes are carried out independently in the workspace and the Billing Center, and the fee synchronization is achieved by associating the Billing Center account ID.

Two necessary accounts for fee settlement¶

TrueWatch Console Account: Bound to the workspace, it measures the data access scale and bill details under this account; it can be synchronized to the specified Billing Center account.

TrueWatch Billing Center Account: Can be bound to one/multiple workspaces to achieve unified fee management.

Note: The workspace can be billed individually, or multiple workspaces can be bound for joint billing.

Why are two accounts needed?¶

The settlement process mainly includes two aspects. On one hand, the workspace is created under the TrueWatch console account, and the data traffic is stored and measured within this workspace. On the other hand, the Billing Center account is bound to the workspace, so that the bill data of the corresponding workspace can be obtained, and finally settled according to the method selected by the user.

What settlement methods does TrueWatch support?¶

Go to the Billing Center, and directly use the Billing Center account for settlement. You only need to recharge and purchase prepaid cards in the Billing Center account to complete the bill payment.

Supports settlement with cloud vendor accounts, currently supporting Huawei Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, Amazon, and Microsoft Cloud.

What is the difference between activating the TrueWatch service on the TrueWatch official website and on the cloud vendor?

Both channels can normally activate the TrueWatch service, the main difference lies in the optionality of the settlement method after activating the service.

• When activating on the TrueWatch official website, you can choose to settle with the TrueWatch Billing Center or the cloud vendor account;
• When activating on the corresponding cloud vendor, you can only settle with that cloud vendor account.

Therefore, if you already have a preferred settlement method, you can choose the activation channel according to the settlement method.

How to bind the Billing Center account and the workspace?

• If you are a new registered user, in the registration process on the TrueWatch official website, you will simultaneously create the TrueWatch console account, the Billing Center account, and the workspace, and the workspace will be automatically bound to the account.

• If you settle through the cloud vendor channel, after successfully ordering the TrueWatch service on the cloud vendor, there will be a process of binding the workspace, and you can choose the bindable workspace as needed.

The TrueWatch console account is used for official website login: https://truewatch.com. The unique credential of the account is the email.

The Billing Center account can be viewed in TrueWatch Workspace > Plans and Billing. If there is a Billing Center account, the settlement account can be displayed normally; or directly log in to the Billing Center platform: https://bill.truewatch.com. The unique credential of the Billing Center account is the username.
