Differences Between Free Plan and Commercial Plan

Both the Free Plan and Commercial Plan offered by the public cloud adopt a pay-as-you-go billing method.

The Free Plan has limitations on the scale of data that can be ingested. Upgrading to the Commercial Plan allows for larger data ingestion volumes and more flexible customization of data retention periods.

Notes on Using the Free Plan
  • The Free Plan is free if not upgraded. Once upgraded to the Commercial Plan, it cannot be reverted;
  • If the Free Plan is upgraded to the Commercial Plan, data collection will continue to be reported to the TrueWatch workspace, but data collected during the Free Plan period will no longer be accessible;
  • Upgrading to the Commercial Plan can only be viewed and operated by the current workspace owner;
  • Backup logs count as full data, while other billing items count as incremental data; incremental data quotas are reset daily at 0:00, and the free quota is valid for the day;
  • If the data quota for any billing item in the Free Plan is fully utilized, data reporting will stop; however, infrastructure and event data will continue to be reported, and you can still view infrastructure list data and event data;
  • Due to data security concerns, the Free Plan workspace does not support snapshot sharing.

Activating the Free Plan

On the TrueWatch official website, click Start Free, fill in the relevant information, and you will become a TrueWatch user.

Step 1: Basic Information

  1. Select a site;
  2. Define a username and login password;
  3. Enter the email information and the verification code sent;
  4. Enter a phone number;
  5. Click Next.

Step 2: Corporate Information

  1. Enter the company name;
  2. Read and agree to the relevant agreements;
  3. Click More Information, you can optionally fill in other corporate information;
  4. Click Register.

Note: Completing Step 2 means you have successfully registered a TrueWatch account. The next step will guide you to activate a workspace under this account.

Step 3: Activating the Free Plan

  1. Click the top right corner of the current page to switch to the Activate Free Plan Workspace page;

  2. Enter the workspace name;

  3. Select the workspace language;
  4. It is recommended to check the agreement and Synchronize Create Billing Center Account;
  5. Click Register to successfully activate.

Checking Free Quotas

The owner and admins of the TrueWatch workspace can view the daily free quotas and their usage for each billing item in the Billing module.

Upgrading to the Commercial Plan

Upgrade Notes:

  • Once the Free Plan is successfully upgraded to the Commercial Plan, it cannot be reverted;
  • Data collection will continue to be reported to the TrueWatch workspace, but data collected during the Free Plan period will no longer be accessible.

Prerequisites

What is a Billing Center Account?

The Billing Center is the payment and settlement platform of TrueWatch. Only by registering an account on this platform can you perform account recharge, payment settlement, bill management, and other operations.

Starting the Upgrade

In the workspace navigation bar, click Upgrade Now:

Or go directly to Billing and click Upgrade Now.

If you are the Owner of the current workspace, clicking will take you directly to the upgrade page:

Other members need to contact the workspace Owner to upgrade. If you have a TrueWatch Billing Center account, you can directly enter the Billing Center to bind this space, thereby achieving version upgrade.

  1. Enter the Plan Upgrade page;
  2. Click Upgrade;
  3. Start Binding the TrueWatch Billing Center Account.

Binding the Billing Center Account

If you checked the option to synchronize the creation of a Billing Center account during the Free Plan activation process, the system has already created a Billing Center account with the same name as your current account.

  1. Enter the username;
  2. Enter the binding email;
  3. Get the verification code;
  4. Click Bind.

If you did not check the option at that time, you need to register a Billing Center account first.

Fill in the basic information and corporate information to successfully register.

Viewing the Upgraded Version

Return to the TrueWatch Billing page, and you can see that the current workspace has been upgraded to the Commercial Plan.

Click the Billing Center in the top right corner to automatically jump to the TrueWatch Billing Center.

Upgrading to the Enterprise Plan

Need to go to the Billing Center to upgrade.
