Cloud Account Management

In their operations, enterprises often need to use multiple cloud service accounts to meet different business requirements. However, when these cloud services experience issues, a decentralized management approach can lead to inefficiencies and increased operational costs.

The "Cloud Account Management" feature centralizes all enterprise cloud service accounts for unified management, distinguishing them through the uniqueness of certain configurations. By configuring integrated collectors, cloud services under each account can be independently managed, enabling precise control over business data.

This management approach not only simplifies the cloud service management process but also helps quickly locate and resolve service failures, significantly reducing management costs and improving response times to incidents.

Note

Currently, this feature is only available for Workspace Owners and Managers to perform related configurations.

Adding Authorization

Currently, authorization can be performed for the following cloud account types:

AWS
Alibaba Cloud
Huawei Cloud
Tencent Cloud
Google Cloud

Managing Authorizations

Successfully created cloud accounts will be displayed on the Integrations > Cloud Account Management page. You may perform the following actions:

  • Use the Type filter in the top-right corner for quick filtering;
  • Directly enter the cloud account alias in the search bar to locate it;
  • Click the settings button to directly perform deletion operations;
  • Click into an account entry to edit its details again.

Configuring Integrations

After successfully creating a cloud account, you have completed the authorization to TrueWatch. You can install integrations under this account as needed to start data collection.

Prerequisites

DataFlux Func (Automata) has been activated.

Note

Different integrations require different authorized resources. Please refer to the Integration documentation and grant the corresponding permissions to the cloud account. Otherwise, although the integration might appear to install successfully, data collection could fail.

Configuring from the Cloud Account Details Page

Click into the cloud account details page > Integrations tab, where you can view all associated integrations for the current account.

Click Install on the right side to enter the automated installation page:

  1. The cloud account is automatically filled in;
  2. Select the applicable region type as needed;
  3. The system automatically identifies the metrics included in the current integration script; you may remove any unnecessary ones;
  4. Filters currently support = and in operators;
  5. After successful installation, continue with the script installation.

Direct Configuration from the Integration Side

Prerequisites
  • DataFlux Func (Automata) has been activated;
  • Cloud account authorization has already been configured in the management section](#cloud-authorize).

  1. Go directly to Integrations to install. On the individual integration installation page, you can configure multiple cloud accounts;
  2. Click Add Cloud Account;
  3. You can select additional cloud accounts that require configuration and set the regions, metrics, and filters;
  4. Click Install, and the cloud accounts will be updated with the latest configuration.

Deleting / Uninstalling Integrations

  • On the cloud account management list page, click the settings icon to delete a cloud account. After deletion, data collection for all configured integrations under this cloud account will stop, but previously collected data will remain unaffected;

  • In the Integrations tab of the cloud account details page, click the Uninstall button to stop data collection for a specific integration, but previously collected data will remain unaffected;

  • After clicking Uninstall from the integration side, data collection for all AWS cloud accounts for that integration will stop. If you want to stop data collection for a specific cloud account only, you can perform the operation within the cloud account configuration.
