RUM Headless

RUM is used to collect user access monitoring data reported from web pages or mobile ends. After successfully activating RUM Headless, it can be automatically installed and deployed in TrueWatch cloud hosts, automatically completing a series of operations such as DataKit installation and RUM collector deployment.

Note

To activate the RUM Headless platform, you need to contact the billing center to enable the whitelist channel. You need to contact your account manager and provide information such as the site and ID where your workspace is located.

One-Click Activation

In Integration > RUM Headless, or Integration > Expansion > RUM Headless, click to enter the activation process:

Permissions and Billing
  • Only one instance per workspace can be activated, and only the Owner has the activation and configuration permissions;
  • RUM Headless is billed monthly, with the cost for one month deducted upon successful activation, and the next month's fee automatically deducted one day before expiration (e.g., if activated on 04/13, fees will be deducted on 04/12 and 05/12, and so on...).
  1. Click Activate;
  2. Fill in the HTTP service address;
  3. Select the required specifications for the application;
  4. Activate immediately.
Note

HTTP Service Address: This is the HTTP service address of DataKit, which receives external data via this address. It needs to be filled in when integrating applications:

The automated deployment process is expected to take 10-15 minutes. After activation is completed, you can directly access the console in Integration > Func > Expansion applications. Click Configure > Overview to view relevant information about RUM Headless.

After RUM Headless is activated, if you need to modify configuration information, refer to the following content.

Modify Service Address

  1. Click Modify;
  2. Obtain and enter the email verification code;
  3. Confirm to complete identity verification, then modify the current HTTP service address.

The service address can be modified up to three times daily.

Modify Specifications

  1. Click Modify;
  2. Obtain and enter the email verification code;
  3. Confirm to complete identity verification, then modify the current specifications.
Note

Changes to specifications take effect immediately on the same day, and billing begins according to the new specifications. The old specifications will be discarded directly without refund.

Sourcemap Configuration

Sourcemap (source code mapping) is used to map compressed code in the production environment back to the original source code.

When uploading files, select the application type, configure the packaged Sourcemap, then drag or click to upload.

Below the 🔍 bar, you can view the names of uploaded files and their application types. You can search by entering the file name; clicking deletes the current file.

Upload Requirements
  • File size cannot exceed 500M;
  • File format must be .zip;
  • File naming format should be <app_id>-<env>-<version>, where app_id is mandatory. Incorrect formats will not take effect. Ensure that the file paths in the decompressed package match the URLs in the error_stack;
  • Uploading multiple files simultaneously is not allowed;
  • Uploading files with the same name will prompt an overwrite warning, please pay attention.

On the RUM Headless configuration page, you can view the current application status.

Your current application may have five possible statuses:

Status Description
Activating Indicates that the one-click activation process for RUM Headless is ongoing.
Activated Indicates that the one-click activation process for RUM Headless is completed.
Plan Changing Indicates that the service address or specifications are being modified.
Upgrading Indicates that the current application service is being upgraded.
Operation Failed Indicates there was an operational issue during the activation process. You can view error feedback or directly contact us.

Application Expiration

Three days before the application renewal fee is due, the system will check whether the balance is sufficient for renewal. If the balance is insufficient, the system will send an email and system notification reminder to the workspace Owner.

If you previously used RUM Headless and reactivate the application before expiration, all data can be restored. If the subscription is not renewed after expiration, the data will be permanently deleted. The system retains your most recent 7 days of data. Within these 7 days, if you choose to reactivate the application, you can opt to restore all data or not restore data.

  • Restore data: Back up previously retained data to the newly activated RUM;
  • Do not restore data: Discard all previous data and reactivate the application.

Deactivate Application

If you need to deactivate the current application service, click Deactivate Application, complete identity verification, and open the confirmation page where you can view the application expiration date.

RUM Headless adopts a monthly billing model. Before the fee expires, you can still use the RUM service and can reactivate RUM Headless as needed.
