TrueWatch Updates¶

• Monitoring:
  • Added User Access Intelligent Detection: Supports performance anomalies and error analysis for websites/apps, with related detection metrics such as LCP, FID, CLS, etc.
  • Infrastructure Survival Detection V2: Added a new V2 version of infrastructure survival detection, optimized detection logic, and resolved several triggering issues related to V1 and process detection.
• User Access Monitoring (RUM):
  • Added Public DataWay to receive RUM data without installing a collector; Web-type applications support direct upload of SourceMap in the console, allowing multiple files to be uploaded based on different versions and environments.
  • Error Explorer > Error Details: Added formatted error information page, displaying error information parsed from Sourcemap files, with support for switching between formatted and original error information. If no Sourcemap file is configured or the uploaded file does not match, only the original error information is displayed.
• Application Performance Monitoring (APM):
  • Optimized Service Map: Adjusted the display styles for viewing upstream/downstream, nodes, service names, etc.
  • Optimized Service Details: Bound performance view dashboards to display current service performance metrics, also supporting custom user views with the same name for overlay updates and drill-down analysis.
  • Optimized Trace Details flame chart and waterfall chart display: Flame chart added execution time and execution ratio display; Waterfall chart supports switching between relative and absolute time display.
• Chart Optimization:
  • Time Series Table Chart added Display Columns configuration: Supports user-defined display columns, including custom column names; Supports manual column width adjustment in edit mode, with column width preserved after saving; Supports drag-and-drop to adjust column order.
  • Chart links added value variables for link redirection.
• Dashboards:
  • Added Home Dashboard: Supports workspace configuration for home dashboards.
• Infrastructure:
  • Host Explorer added Show Only Online Hosts switch filter: Optimized logic for obtaining online host lists, supporting the option to list only hosts that have reported data in the last 10 minutes.

TrueWatch Deployment Plan Updates¶

• Supports embedding TrueWatch pages in external platforms, using URL parameters to hide the left and header menus, and supports hiding floating operations.

• Added Independent Alert Notification configuration: When enabled, if the alert policy selects 【Alert Not Aggregated】, each event will send an alert notification, helping you efficiently manage alert notifications.
• Added Event Link Login-Free View configuration: When enabled, all event-related links in alert notifications sent by the workspace can be accessed without login. If this configuration is turned off, all previously sent login-free links will become invalid, ensuring data security.
• Optimized 【Scheduled Reports】: Supports custom query range configuration, with the upper limit adjusted from 30 days to 360 days, meeting your extended needs for scheduled reports.

    • When modifying workspace language version, event, alert, SMS, etc. notification templates will use the modified language templates.
• Event linkage incident added linkage identifier:
  • Unresolved event lists can identify whether the current event is linked to an incident via icon.
  • Incident: If there are events created and linked by the monitor, the number of linked events can be quickly identified via icon.
• Infrastructure > Hosts: Optimized the issue of inaccurate metric data sorting in the host explorer.
• Pipeline usage experience optimization:
  • Data source selection column added prompts for already configured Pipeline scripts;
  • Log data test sample acquisition added "index" selection, resolving the issue of not obtaining sample data due to not using the default index.

  • Recovery notification logic change: When historical sent alert events recover, TrueWatch will send recovery notifications to the corresponding notification objects.
  • Added 【Alert Aggregation】：Supports alert notification aggregation based on rule configuration, with two aggregation methods:
    • No Aggregation: In this mode, alerts are merged into one notification every 20 seconds and sent to the corresponding notification objects;
    • Rule Aggregation: Supports four aggregation rules and sending notifications based on the aggregation cycle.

• Added Custom Mapping Rule Configuration: When enabled, the corresponding workspace can customize mapping rules. The workspace's custom mapping rules have higher priority than the management backend's mapping rules;
• Added Query Quantity Limit: Customized query quantity limits for different user workspaces to avoid low cluster query performance due to large query data volumes, affecting product usage experience;
• Local accounts added password change.

Integration Updates¶

• Incident and PagerDuty Linkage: When our applications or systems encounter anomalies, they usually need to be handled promptly to ensure normal system operation. To better manage and track incidents, we can send these incidents to PagerDuty to create events, allowing us to track, analyze, and resolve these issues in PagerDuty. By quickly sending incidents to PagerDuty to create events, we provide better management and tracking of incidents, ensuring normal system operation. At the same time, this method also helps us better analyze and resolve issues, improving system stability and reliability.

Integration Updates¶

Huawei Cloud:

• Huawei CCE: TrueWatch supports monitoring the running status and service capabilities of various resources in CCE, including Containers, Pods, Services, Deployments, Clusters, Nodes, Replica Sets, Jobs, Cron Jobs, etc. You can install DataKit in Kubernetes via DaemonSet to complete data collection for Kubernetes resources. Finally, in TrueWatch, you can monitor the running status of various Kubernetes resources in real-time.

• Huawei CSS(Elasticsearch): Huawei Cloud Search Service CSS for Elasticsearch core performance metrics include query latency, indexing speed, search speed, disk usage, and CPU usage, which are key metrics for evaluating and optimizing Elasticsearch performance.

• Huawei SYS.AS: Huawei SYS.AS core performance metrics include CPU utilization, memory usage, disk I/O, network throughput, and system load, which are key metrics for evaluating and optimizing auto-scaling system performance.

• Huawei ASM: Huawei Cloud's ASM trace data output to TrueWatch for viewing and analysis.

AWS:

• AWS CloudFront: AWS CloudFront core performance metrics include total requests, data transfer volume, HTTP error rate, cache hit rate, and latency, which help users evaluate and optimize content delivery network performance.

• AWS MediaConvert: AWS MediaConvert includes data transfer, video errors, job count, padding, etc.

• AWS Aurora Serverless V2: AWS Aurora Serverless V2, including connection count, IOPS, queue, read/write latency, network throughput, etc.

• AWS Redshift: AWS Redshift core performance metrics include query performance, disk space usage, CPU utilization, database connections, and disk I/O operations, which are key metrics for evaluating and optimizing data warehouse performance.

• AWS Simple Queue Service: AWS Simple Queue Service display metrics include the approximate age of the oldest undeleted message in the queue, the number of delayed and unreadable messages, the number of in-flight messages, the number of messages available for retrieval from the queue, etc.

• AWS Timestream: AWS Timestream display metrics include system error count (internal service error count), the sum of invalid requests for the current AWS region and current AWS account, the time taken for successful requests, the amount of data stored in memory, and the amount of data stored on magnetic storage, etc.

• AWS Neptune Cluster: AWS Neptune Cluster display metrics include cold start time, execution time, concurrent execution count, and memory usage, which reflect Neptune Cluster function response speed, scalability, and resource utilization.

• International Site TrueWatch Product Service officially launched, users can purchase from AWS overseas cloud market.

• International Site TrueWatch product adopts US dollar-based pricing system. Data from workspaces registered at the original Oregon site in China will be billed according to the adjusted prices.

• TrueWatchEnterprise Account concept officially changed to Billing Center Account;

• RUM (Real User Monitoring) collector is used to collect user access monitoring data reported from web or mobile. Now provides RUM Headless One-Click Service, achieving automated installation and deployment on TrueWatch cloud hosts, automatically completing DataKit installation, RUM collector deployment. Only manual application access is required.
• Explorer: Optimized filtering, search interaction conversion logic, allowing users to truly achieve what you see is what you get, and freely switch between UI and manual mode. Also: Log explorer supported DQL manual mode will be removed after the new version goes live.

Intelligent Inspection Updates¶

• New Inspections

  • AWS Cloudtrail Anomaly Event Inspection: AWS CloudTrail is a service for tracking, logging, and monitoring AWS account activities. It records operations performed in AWS accounts, including management console access, API calls, resource changes, etc. We can monitor CloudTrail error events to promptly discover potential security issues. For example, unauthorized API calls, access to denied resources, abnormal authentication attempts, etc. This helps protect your AWS accounts and resources from unauthorized access and malicious activities; also helps you understand the types, frequency, and impact of system failures. This helps you quickly identify issues and take appropriate corrective measures to reduce service interruption time and business impact.

• New Scripts

  • TrueWatch Integration (Alibaba Cloud-RDS Error Logs): Collect Alibaba Cloud RDS error logs for RDS error information diagnosis;
  • filebeats data collector: Collect FileBeats performance data for observing FileBeats performance, latency, etc.;
  • logstash data collector: Collect Logstash performance data for observing Logstash performance, latency, etc.

TrueWatch supports setting session keep time for accounts logged into workspace, including SSO single sign-on accounts and workspace registered accounts, supports setting "no operation login session keep time" and "login session maximum keep time" for login accounts, after setting, timeout login sessions will expire.

• No Operation Login Session Keep Time: Supports setting range 30 ～ 1440 minutes, default 30 minutes;
• Login Session Maximum Keep Time: Supports setting range 0 ～ 7 days, 0 means never timeout, default 7 days.

Added Ticket Management¶

For issues encountered in TrueWatch, users can submit tickets for consultation and suggestions, official will handle and feedback promptly. For example: encountered difficult to solve problems during usage, purchase and billing related consultations, propose requirements and suggestions to TrueWatch, etc.

Ticket system is based on personal account level, users can view all tickets submitted by themselves in ticket management, not distinguishing workspaces. Ticket management entry: bottom left 「Account」-「Ticket Management」. More details can refer to document Ticket Management.

• If trace has frontend application call generated Span, this Span's corresponding service value will be filled based on current user access data's service value, if user access data does not have service information, default fill "browser"

新增网络查看器列表模式¶

在「基础设施」-「网络」，选择「主机 / Pod / Deployment / Service」，支持切换至对应网络列表查看源 IP/端口和目标 IP/端口之间的 TCP 重传次数、TCP 连接数、TCP 关闭次数、TCP 延时、发送字节数、接收字节数、状态码等。更多详情可参考文档 网络。

新增前端应用 Span 请求耗时分布显示¶

在链路详情页，若当前的链路属于前端应用调用产生的 Span，您可以在链路详情查看请求耗时分布，包括 Queueing（队列）、First Byte（首包）、Download（下载）的请求耗时占比，帮助您直观的查看前端某个 Span 的过程消耗占比。

注意：用户访问监测 SDK 必须是 2.2.10 以及上才可以看到这部分数据显示，如存在跨域情况需要调整 header 配置，更多详情可参考文档 Web 应用接入。

优化用户访问监测 Session 交互逻辑¶

• Session 查看器去掉所有记录列表；
• Session 会话详情页显示优化：类型显示优化、支持切换会话发生的绝对时间、增加服务列、详情页显示优化、错误信息优化
• Session 会话更新逻辑优化：Session 数据更新从追加的逻辑调整为基于 session_id 覆盖的逻辑
• 链路中若存在前端应用调用产生的 Span，该 Span 对应的 service 值会根据当前用户访问数据中的 service 值做填充，若用户访问数据中不存在 service 的信息，则默认填充 "browser"
